Customer setup is: DID rings in to 3999@292 set up as Routing Mbox with Greeting and DAT 2. DAT digit 2 sends call to VE 252. VE 252 button exists on a dozen agent phones. This setup has worked for almost two years and abruptly stopped ringing. The button flashes, but does not audibly ring. Same scenario for delayed ring setup on other extensions for overflow coverage of reception desk on VE 251. I can set up a new option in DAT 2 for digit "3" to ring VE 254, and put a 254 button on a test extension and it will ring as expected, so I know my 15-09 settings are correct. Upgraded from 5.00 to 6.05 firmware, and performed a hard system reset with no change. No (known) software changes prior to having the issue.

They throw the phones into night mode manually using a toggle button, which displays when active.

The VE appears on 10 phones. That's not too many for the application by chance, is it?

You can try defaulting the Function keys and VE Ringing & re-program to see if that gets it going again - Otherwise, I would try re-initializing the system and reloading from a known working backup.

So in the end, this was the culprit: When this was originally set up I chose Tone 5 in 15-08 for the VE 252 ringtone, so the agents could distinguish it from any other call. I have found that if I choose anything higher than Tone 4, it will not audibly ring the set. I don't know why this suddenly stopped working, but at least it works once again. I quickly checked to see if it might be COS related, but didn't find anything.
