can a ups battery be changed with not unplugging the power to it first. their memory battery is dead in the ksu. thanks dave

Hot swapping a UPS battery pack...I would check with the manufacturer.

I've done it quite a few times, all that's on the leads is about 13 volts DC to charge the battery, but as Dex says check with the manufacturer.

Yep. Check with manufacturer and the model number. We have sold/purchased only Hot-Swappable UPSs. Makes it a lot easier.
