Hello all,
I've come into an NEC SV8100 that I've put in my house.
It's working great--with the exception of one thing--caller ID. The system is getting caller ID, because after a call I can hit "List" and select CID and see a list of incoming calls with name and number. But, the phone isn't displaying it when a call comes in.
I set the class of service to 15 on both 101 and 105 which are the only two phones I'm using. Is that my problem?
Thanks,
Scott

In the 9100 (should be close to the same in the 8100): have a look at 14-02-10, 20-02-15 and 20-09-02.
Heck of a system for a house. Or, heck of a house!
Jim

If trunk is set for wait for caller ID then look at your COS settings for incoming calls.

My two extensions (101 and 105) were set for COS 15. Just checked and Caller ID Display was NOT checked for COS 15. I did the change remotely, so I'll have to give it a test when I get home today. I'll update on whether or not it resolved the issue. Thanks Jim and CT!

Okay guys, update. Got tied up doing some remote support so I'm just now stopping and realizing I didn't update this thread.
The class of service was the problem. Class of Service 15 was NOT set with Caller ID enabled. As soon as I walked in the door when I got home, the nearest phone had a little missed call phone icon so I knew something was different. Called in with my cell phone, sure enough... CELL PHONE WA showed up on the display. Thanks guys!
Paul W:
Nice! This SV8100 was from one of our clients that we upgraded to an Ericsson iPECS EMG80.
