I had to change out a 3x8 because of failure. I have everything reprogrammed except for caller ID. It does not show on incoming calls anymore. I have proven that I am receiving from telco. I downloaded the manual but It does not offer me the call information options within my programming? I am assuming that my software version is not allowing it?
I am new to this forum but I have been in the industry since 02/1997. Mainly Avaya, Mitel, Panasonic, and NEC. Glad to be here!

Correct.
You need DR5 or DR5.1
And if they have a Norstar Voice mail you need a DS 3X8
DS has Turquoise writing on it.
NON-DS has Black writing on it.

For Caller ID you need Dr 5 or 5.1
For Voice Mail you need a DS 3X8 no matter what version.

You need a cabinet with DS for any voice mail.

A lot of techs miss that part.

I believe you'll find that DR5.1 came out after the DS version and incorporates Disconnect Supervision. Confirmed in my compatibility charts.

Yes that is true but still my point is DS capability (if I need to reword it) is required regardless.

Can't you use a Call Pilot on DR 5 or 5.1 as well?

The point is, for Voice Mail to work it needs DS software on the Norstar. As long as the correct version of Norstar is mated with the correct software on Flash or Call Pilot AND the software has DS then it works ok.

CallPilot 100/150 is compatible with 3X8 DR5.1 only (no other DR5 KSUs are compatible) but Park And Page, AMIS and Feature 986 (Transfer To Mailbox) are not available at this time on DR5.1.
