I was recently certified on the NS-series. I would like to set up a one-look network with an NS1000 master and NS700 slave on one rack. The NS700 will just sit there replicating and take over IF the master ever fails. Few questions... -Do I need to purchase the same amount of activation keys for both systems or can the NS700 temporarily inherit the keys from the master? -Also, the SIP trunks need to be configured on both systems and register to the active PBX ONLY but I don't remember if this is possible. Will a session border controller do this? -Basically, the NS700 needs to be able to take over trunks and IP extensions automatically with no human input whenever the NS1000 fails.
Thanks in advance for any help.
