Good morning,

Looking for a bit of help here. What we are trying to do is set the outgoing caller id for a single extension on a 7400 with PRI to either withhold the caller ID or say private. The * code should be *67 but for the life of me I cannot get it to work either manually or in LCR

I've tried to put "Private" in the send CLI number and that had no effect. 2.4.3
Also tried leaving the number blank and putting private in the SIP Alias to no efffect.
Is there a different spot for Send CLI that I don't see?

I tried adding * into the LCR Routing Digits (3.1.2) with a digit length of 13 (*67 then the 10 digit phone number) that just got a CO Hung Up error

Also tried setting the LCR COS in Port Common data (2.4.2) for a given extension as 6 then set the Route Table (3.1.4) for 6 to use the main ring group and modify at 2, then in Modify Digits (3.1.5) entered *67 in the insert Digits. This had no effect at all.

Any ideas?

You shouldn't have to do any of that on a PRI. Tell the carrier you will provide the outbound CID and if it's not provided to show private or restricted. Then for that extensions outbound CID just leave it blank.
Every carrier around here does this normally except TW and for them i just have to ask to let us provide the CID.

It is set for us to provide the CID but if there isn't anything it defaults to the pilot. I'll ask if that's and option.
