Our area is undergoing an area code overlay. Our area code is 717 and will not change, however effective August 26 we must dial 717 then the phone number for all local calls. We have many of our employees who remotely work so calls are being forwarded to them or when they set their phones to forward when they leave the office. When this takes place, those calls will not go through. We will get a recording stating you must hang up and dial the area code first.
We have a rule somewhere in our system that is preventing the call from going through at this time. We get to the 8th digit and the call will not complete. Our phone company said it's our system and we need to change the rule somewhere. I did find under System | Numbering Plan - there is a Dial Rules there but it's a 3. Is this where I need to change it and if so, change it to what? Or is it somewhere else?
Our system is Inter-Tel Axxess 5000, using session manager version 11.004, DB Studio 1.67 version
Any advice would be super!! Thank you in advance.

Old system, it's in your outgoing dial plan.

Thank you sir. I found the area, set the rules and everything is working. Thank you again for your response!
