We just switched from 1 PRI to an IPFlex (VOIP) from AT&T. Now every time we have to make a local call we have to add the area code in front of the local number. We always have to use a 10 digit number. Is there a way to program The Intertel Axxess 6.0 to recognize the 7 digits and automatically add the area code? If so, pleeeesee give me the details, as I’m definitely not an expertise on db programming.
Thank you,

With so many new prefixes within neighboring area codes that are/will be the same as your local prefixes, it's not a bad idea to just train your staff that 'this is the way it is now'.
You could go to the trouble - and I mean lots of trouble, by building an elaborate ARS table that would include all prefixes within your local area code that are truly 'local' calls, and then set up dial rules to add the area code.
