I have a few CIX 1200 systems. I have an issue with people turning other stations message waiting light. I went in the station(analog)that is turning on the message lights in program 200 and disabled #41 (activate message waiting) However these stations (SLT) are still turning on the lights on DKT stations.

How can I disable analog stations from turn on message lights altogether?

Go to Stations/Station Assignments and set FB41 to disable for all extensions SLT and DKT, for SIP or IPT extensions disable FB37
This will stop people from pressing the MW key or by dialling 7 after the extension number.
The SLT ports configured as voicemail will override this setting and will continue to activate MW lights.

You can always dial #409 at a handset to cancel the MW light if it is flashing.

I have already disabled FB41 on all DKT and SLT ports and yet the SLT phones are still turning on the DKT message lights.

Are the SLT extensions set as "Voicemail"?

What are the SLT handsets dialling to activate the MW lights?

The SLT extensions are set as Extension. I am assuming that the patients using these phones, dialing an extension number, then hitting 7 which will turn on the digital phone's message light. Problem is, the patient is trying to make an outside call but doesn't know to dial 9. So they start dialing a number, which the first four digits are one of my extension number. Then they must hit 7 (or 8 or9) and it turns on the message light. FB41 are disabled on all these phones.
