Working on an Inter-Tel Axxess 9...I believe
We need a setup where an extension needs to ring 3 phones (When Phone A is dialed, it rights A B and C) after a few ring have an audiotex recording saying to stay on the line to speak with one of the three phones or press the number 3 to go to voicemail. When they leave at night they put their phones on DND which then needs the night message.
I currently have it setup with Phone A's first forwarding path to immediately ring a Hunt Group with A B and C as members for Forwarding Point 1 and then the Day Message Application for Forwarding Point 2. There is a second Forwarding Path setup for the Night Message App. that is set to trigger when the phone is on DND. Which doesn't exactly work because the first Forwarding path always picks up.
I figured there's some way to use Night Mode for a clean and effecient configuration, but I can't seem to get the phone on night mode. I try using Feature Code 9860, but get a "Reserved Feature Not Available."

Night can only be activated from a Admin phone. You can do some trial and error if you don't have access to programming. If you do you can look at station flags and see who is an admin. A better way may be to forward phone A to a Star app and let it control the destination by the time of day. Randy

When you activate Night Mode from an admin phone, does it move the entire system to Night Mode, or just the admin phone? Is it possible to specify which phone you want in Night Mode?

In your forwarding path options set DND to No and your second forwarding path set DND to Yes and it should skip over the first path when the phone is in DND. If you want to use the night mode, the forwarding paths can also be set on a day/night basis.
