Hi
I have created a STAR on our inter-tel 5000 to route to Call Routing Announcments and then phantom extensions dependent on the time of day and day of week. I've programmed the phantoms to autoforward to an international outside number using feature codes and this works if I dial the phantom directly (phone shows call forwarding to isdn30 and it eventually connects.
The problem is arising when the CRA tries to forward to the phantom. I get the "please wait while your call is forwarded to extension 392" and then "sorry extension 392 is not available".
I can make the CRA forward to a real extension just to check it rings but it will not autoforward outside either. It is the same as the phantom however, in that it will forward if dialled directly.
I have configured the digit translation for the CRA to "Timeout-Transfer to extension-392". Does anything else need to be configured here for phantoms autoforwarding to outside numbers? I have also changed the PhantomDevices/DeviceNo/AssociatedExtensions/OutgoingExtension to 82000.
Any help would be great.
Cheers
Cammy

You may need to create an Extension ID for the Phantoms. Here's a test. Associate a DID number to a phantom device. Make a call to the DID number.
External calls cannot connect to internal extensions without the existence of a mailbox or extension ID.

What I have found and don't know why is that the phantoms are not working for this. I have been creating virtual extensions using the second circuit of a digital port and it works fine. I think it is a bug in certain versions of the 5000 because we have the phantoms working at other locations.

Thanks guys
The supplier fixed this for us. He had some difficulty himself in getting it to work.
I'll try and find out exactly what he did and post it here.
