My friend got me this Western Electric loud ringer but I am not sure how to connect it and I do not want to damage it. Can someone point me in the right direction?
Thank you!!

the ringer is configured to be used on a party line with selective ringing. To use it on a regular line, you need to add a .47 uF capacitor and bypass the vacuum tube. The designations on the terminal board do not match those on the schematic. I would probably remove the connections on the underside of the terminal strip, and wire it something like the diagram below:

Clarifying wiring of modular clip wiring incase you need the information

Also you would substitute the following wiring color if your are not using Green/Red/Black/Yellow wire:

Green = White/Blue tracer
Red = Blue/White tracer
Black = White/Orange tracer
Yellow= Orange/White tracer

The strikeout text refers to wiring that is not needed for this application
