Hello, I was wondering if someone could either provide or point me in the right direction of the DK Admin software (preferably the version that does not require the dongle). I have recently been put in charge of a DK424 system, and I would like to use the DK Admin software to at least view the current configuration. Thank you for your time!

I am unaware of any software proprietary or commercial (Procomm/Hyper-Terminal) that can communicate to the system. It has been over 10 years since Toshiba quit providing support for the system.
From the manual: DK424 and DK424i: the programming telephone must be a 20-button LCD DKT or EKT connected to circuit 6 of a PDKU or PEKU installed in cabinet slot 11 and/or slot 12. Note Telephones connected to an RDSU or PESU cannot be used to program DK424 or DK424i.
Best bet is to copy the blank programming sheets [found through out the manual] and then view every setting and write them down on the programming sheets.
The manual is easy to find with Google search ~ 418 pages.
If you are unfamiliar with Toshiba nuances with programming it might be best for you and the company involved to hire a Toshiba technician who does this for a living.

if it's got the right card in it, and it's configured, you can connect over a serial port with hyperterm or similar, but the syntax is a bit odd. if you don't already have one of the cards that can do serial IO, you have to configure it from a phone... I've never seen the DK admin software, I assume it works over the same serial connection that hyperterm does, but puts a pretty front end onto it. it's NOT a trivial task, read the manual several times before you change anything.

You will need the software and a special DK Admin LPT1 port dongle. It is DOS based but will run in windows. It is great for backups and restores but you can still do all programming from the set.

Actually the most recent version does not require the dongle. You do need the PPTC-9 serial adapter This software really helped when upgrading a system to a CIX.I was able to see all the extension.
