I feel like I'm missing something (I actually know I am). We are running a KX-TDA600 and currently the only way we can call 911 is by dialing our call out code (9) then 911. 911 is currently set in Emergency dial in TRS (7.4). The Dialing Plan (6.7) also has N11 on the table. Is there another place I should be checking, or is there a way that I can set an alias of 11 to be 911? Started managing our PBX about a year ago, so there is a lot I don't know. Any help is appreciated.

Also just found this forum about a month ago while looking up some stuff. I'm a IT tech looking to learn more about all this phone stuff.

If dialling 9 for co access you cant have 911 go out without dialling 9911

If you change line access to 0 you could set it to diall 911 and get the system to add the 0

You can get the system to accept 11 and it add the 99 in front as long as 11 is not a lead number
I would imagine that would not work as people who are used to dialling 9 for a line will do thst quicker than remembering 11 for emergency

Yes you can have 911. First turn on ARS for "Any CO Access". Then add an entry of 11 in the Leading Number field 1. In Carrier field 1 add a 9 as the Carrier Access Code.

That will only work if there is no external number with 11. We have 11811 here which is a directory service
