Hello,
My name is Allan. I live in Belfast, Northern Ireland. I hope this thread post finds you all well.
At the end of January, I purchased a Meridian/Norstar/Nortel 'Compact Plus' PBX system, together with a ‘StarTalk 180’ Auto Attendant / Voicemail system. These were installed at my home address, which has 1 analogue line connected, in mid-February.
I have been able to complete an initial set-up of the whole PBX system myself. Everything is functioning correctly. However, I’m afraid there is one setting I cannot seem to find a way of adjusting, despite my tireless efforts trying to find out exactly how. Specifically, I wish to change the number of rings, before a mailbox answers a call.
Here’s a basic overview of my PBX system:
Room 1 – extn: 225 (this has been assigned the General Delivery Mailbox – 225)
Room 2 – extn: 221 (this has been assigned a Personal Mailbox – 221)
Room 3 – extn: 228
Room 4 – extn: 227
Room 5 – extn: 222 (this has also been assigned a Personal Mailbox – 222)
Room 6 – extn: 223
Room 7 – extn: 224
I have set the 3 mailboxes, to each answer after 6 rings. I would like to increase the number of rings assigned to the General Delivery Mailbox/extension 225, to 8.
CCR map:
Home Menu:
Press 1 – extn: 222
Press 2 – extn: 225
Press 3 – extn: 221
/ Path 1 – xfer to extn: 222
/ Path 2 – xfer to extn: 225
/ Path 3 – LvMsg on extn: 221 / Destination – Disconnect from StarTalk
I hope what I’ve said makes some sort of sense. I would be very grateful for any help or instruction you can offer to me.
I look forward to hearing from you very soon.
Thanks In Advance,
Allan.

Hello, My name is Allan. Room 1 – extn: 225 (this has been assigned the General Delivery Mailbox – 225) I have set the 3 mailboxes, to each answer after 6 rings. I would like to increase the number of rings assigned to the General Delivery Mailbox/extension 225, to 8. Allan. You say x225 has been assigned the GD MB. You say you have set 3 mb to ring after 6 rings - that means that you know how to change the number of rings. But I am guessing that for the Gen Del you can't get it to change. May I guess that you created a mailbox 225 for x225. To assign the Gen D mb to x225 you need to delete mb 225 and then assign Mail Box 100 to x225. Mail Box 100 is the Gen Del Mail Box number. Delete mb 225. Then do a change on mb 100. When it asks for Ext: put in 225. Then when you follow ATechguy 's instructions to increase x225 Forward No Answer to 8, then it should work for you.
If CON is the opposite of PRO Then what is the opposite of Progress?
