I am putting an external MOH device on a Comdial DX 120 and having an issue. I've plugged the music source into Jack 1, and confirmed via a butt set that there is in fact music at that connection. The jumper on the CPU is set to External. I've also tried connecting the source to the second jack that is usually background music.
Placing a call outside the system, I hear no music on hold, and when in the background slot, and volume all the way up on the handset, I hear no background music either.
Is there additional programming required on the system itself to enable these two ports for the music? Documentation that I have seen seems pretty straightforward for this to work.
Any advice would be appreciated.

The port on the phone system is a mono port, so if you are using a stereo jack then you will not get the music to come across. To get the lines to have the MOH on them you have to program each line to that MOH port.
