Hi guys, I have a CIX 40 and it appears that the admin mailbox is locked. I am being told that when someone trys to log into the the admin box 999 they get a message stating that too many incorrect attempts have been made to login. What is a solution in order to get past this and get in to reset a mailbox password? Thanks for your help.

Pretty sure that the admin mailbox does not get locked. If you enter the password incorrectly a couple times it will hang up , but the mailbox isn't locked. You just have to log in with the correct pass code.

If you don't know that pass code then someone will need to log into the system using the Strata VM Manager software and reset the admin mailbox.

The default passcode has obviously been changed because the last time that I was here I used it to reset a password on a different user. Is remote service something that you offer.

Unless you have a way to connect to the GVPU voicemail remote really isn't an option.

The system is connected to the Network, does that help.

System programs with Network EManager the GVMU needs VMmanager and a cable or we offer a network programmer for the voicemail

Once I had a user, who was the main contact person, change the Admin password to that of their own...not realizing the ramifications.

If you download the Voicemail Manager software and install it onto a laptop with a serial port, then make a cable (DB9 female to RJ12 with 6 core cable) then you can be onsite and hooked up to the GVMU/LVMU and someone like SSPhone / Newtecky who know what they are doing will be able to Teamviewer onto your laptop and do the password reset for you remotely.
I can also do it for you but time zone difference will make it harder.
