Greetings, all.
Lots of sellers on the auction place for Win 7 x64 Pro OEM, and the average price seems to be about thirty bucks.
From a "real" retailer, like Walmart, it is just under 200.
Lots of horror stories in the comments on Amazon about third-party Amazon sellers shipping counterfeit Microsoft discs, MS will squawk now if you activate a bootleg copy.
Anybody here buy the 30-Buck Chuck on eBay and found it clean? If so, do you remember the seller name? I know I should just spend the $$ and get it from Wallyworld, but I wanted to buy several copies and that could add up to real money.
Thanks in advance for any and all advice, comments, stories, asides, off-topic wanderings, bad jokes, or whatever else you got.

The $30 sellers are selling either COA stickers ripped off old computers or the old activation keys from the Microsoft Action Pack subscription. I would not trust them with a 10ft pole. Quite honestly, Windows 7 support is End-Of-Line is less than 1.5 years away. It's time to be deploying Windows 10.

Quite honestly, Windows 7 support is End-Of-Line is less than 1.5 years away. It's time to be deploying Windows 10. True enough... Already have 10 [gag, barf, ack], and boxes running 7, and even some still running NT5 and 5.1. Right now we are looking to build a Win 7 x64 box or two. Thanks for the warning about the bogus versions, that's kind of what I figured. Some people tell me that they bought legit OEM licenses from ebay sellers, but the crazy low price is kind of a red flag. I have seen a few Windows 7 copies that eventually started to complain about being not genuine after several months.
I got a Windows 7 copy from eBay for $5.00 for a relative and used that to upgrade to Windows 10 . Still works today as far as I have heard.
