Greetings,
Have a manufacturing customer that is in need of two way radios for their facility. So far so good. They would also like to have those same devices be able to place phone calls via analog extensions. Finding two way radios is easy and phones aren't a problem, but a single combined unit is more of a challenge. Suggestions for my quest? Thanks. Bruce

Have you checked out the EnGenius product line? Their DuraWalkie seems to match your requirements. Not cheap, but they do allow handset-to-handset "walkie talkie" communication in addition to system connectivity via analog station ports. Their phone number is 888-735-7888.

As a matter of fact we did a demo them for Durafon 1x before they decided the two way radio was so important. We had great phone coverage in their plant while on the phone but the walkie talkie was a bit short on coverage - seemed odd to me, since it is the same base/antenna. Not sure if an add on antenna would help that situation or not. They would be looking at the Durafon 4x for combining analog ports and less base units. Had Durafon in my mind, but sometimes I don't see the forest for all the trees.
