I have an Inter-tel system that was hit by lightning. I have replaced all the cards with ones from another system. I am using the same programming database as before and now the only thing wrong with the system is the night mode ring does not occur at the designated phones or over the paging system as before. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where to approach t/s this problem?

What do you show for the Night Ring-in destination for your CO Trunk Group? I'd assume an application for either STAR or your Night Greeting App. If you dial that number, does it ring out to the wrong phones, or does it do what it should?

2000 is the extension number and yes it does ring to the correct phones.

Where in the software does the incoming line/lines, when in night mode, move the call to the 2000 extension?

If I go to the software, it shows night ring to go to the extension 2000. Where does this occur in the hardware?

Activating Night Mode tells the system to look at the 'NIGHT' parameters in the database. If your night ring-in goes to 2000, guessing that is a hunt group, you can double-click on the number and it will open the HG so you can check the members or agents and check on the phones contained there.

If you're saying that the wrong phones ring while your system is in night mode, this is how to trace it out. Or you can always go the route of System/Devices and Feature Codes/CO Trunk Groups OR Hunt Groups. I always do my navigating on the left window so my expanded view appears on the right.

andrea: what is happening is if I ring the 2000 extension, the correct phones ring but if I dial an incoming line, the phones do not ring.(in night mode) Everything works correctly in day mode but not in night mode.

It appears there is no switching between night and day mode.

Do you know for certain that the phone line you are dialing is in the CO Trunk Group you're looking at? Just wondering if you've got Call Routing Tables in play and we're looking in the wrong place?

system/devices and feature codes/trunk-related information/Tables

I have use two different months database backups that I made and it makes no difference which one I use. I have about 8 different lines that come in and it doesn't work on the main one we use.

As I stated earlier I had to replace all the boards since it was hit by lightning.
