So I posted the other topic looking for a way to change system versions so I could use session manager. Not much given there but thanks. I've received many helpful answers here. Now, I thought I'd drop back to terminal. I have the correct cable and adapter. When the CPC is up I can't get a peep out of it. However if I leave the terminal open and reboot the CPC I get this: I think I tried all the com port settings.
ColdFire CPU Card (CPU-CF) Boot Code, Version 2.0.3 CPC Build date: Wed Oct 29 2003 16:22:30
CS 0 flash 0 is type AM29LV320D. CS 0 flash 1 is type AM29LV320D. CS 1 flash 0 is type AM29LV320D. CS 1 flash 1 is type AM29LV320D. Total flash memory available is 16777216 bytes.
Production CPC detected.
Checking the CPLD contents ... CPLD is current (CPLD checksum: 0x00175274).
CPLD-generated TA (DTACK) detected, using TA (DTACK) for SRAM. SRAM detected: width 16 bits, size 4194304 bytes.
Testing RAM ... successful!

Here's something I found out. Perhaps useless knowledge to you all. I have my com port on my laptop set to 9600 8 N 1 with DTR/DSR set as flow control. If I start with a fresh terminal and the CPC off, I hold the Esc key down and power on the CPC. Holding the Esc key down the entire time the CPC is booting I get to see all sorts of information about the cards install in the cabinet, and even the IP address so I can use it. I can also see the version of the call processor. And then some SMDR stuff stays there like it's going to log calls. I need Session Manager for versions 8.000 and 8.235. I'm not cheap, I just got a couple of cabinets for free because I was in the right place at the right time. We can't justify the money to pay someone more knowledgeable to set it up. Since we're very much technically inclined, we thought we'd give it a try. But it just sits here! What can I do?
