I have a customer with a location that has Toshiba telephones and they want to purchase a new phone.
Looking for a new DKT 2010
Good chance to move old inventory off the shelf.

They have had problems with refurb in the past and want to buy NEW phone so I was hoping someone might have one on a back shelf they want to get rid of. Other then that they may just replace the whole system.

Its a small hardware business that has about 9 stores around Central Maine. I have TransTel systems in 4 locations and the rest are Toshiba or NEC. We are talking about replacing 3 or 4 of the systems with TransTel but this one location only needs one Toshiba phone the rest still work fine. Who ever was servicing the Toshiba has sold them refurbs that did not last so they don't want refurb phone. I probably will end up putting TransTel in all the stores so they can use the same phones everywhere.

... so they can use the same phones everywhere. Except at home...I have actually had someone take their system phone home and discovered it didn't work. Another time a store manager was relocated from one store to another he like his phone and took it with him but for some reason his Comdial phone didn't work on the Toshiba system and the manager at the old location didn't have a phone at his desk.

DKT 2000 series phones are all about 16+ years old by now. I wonder what are the odds that anyone still has one of these phones new in box sitting on the shelf after all these years? I guess it's possible, but seems like the odds would be low.
A DKT 3010-SD or DKT 3210-SD will work in it's place, and they didn't have those hook-switch problems that some 2000 series phones had. Technically even the new DP5022-SD would work also, but they might look a bit out of place.

Merritt, are you using the IP version which would let you connect all the stores and have remote phones?

NO IP for me
This is an old Toshiba system that is still working well but needs 1 new phone. I'll either end up selling them a refurb or replacing system.

If it were me I'd sell them a new DP-5022SD. Brand new phone that will work on the system.
