New HP thin client terminal installed connected to maintenance port via 9 pin serial cable. New mouse keyboard monitor thin client PC. Terminal is configured for VT100 connection through the com 1 port. Receive 2 green connected lights on terminal display screen. Time and date show same as telephone set on the wall. Accessing pages in the SX 200 is intermittent using number commands doesn't always work. For instance entering 6 to quit doesn't work.Checked cables and all are seated correctly and tight with screws. Reboot of SX 200 seems to help gain access but key functions seem disabled. Is it possible the maintenance port is bad? Any ideas?

"Any ideas?".....Possibly your keyboard ESC key is not correct. Are you able to select keyboard type? Do you have same issue in the MAINT ?
