Hi, We have an inter-tel axxess phone system. The receptionists phone will only have one live call before it sends all other calls to the voice mail. What needs to be done to make all calls ring but if she does not answer in 8 rings send to voice mail. Thanks

You can get here several ways the first. Look at the forward for the ext. I suspect it says path one (usually used for VMS) expand it and you will see several options turn forward on busy to no and it will camp on the phone for the time set in the timers. Default it's about 4 rings and is usually what a user wants. You can build a second forward path with the ext number as the first forward point and the second point as the VMS assign that to the ext and remove the busy forward and you will have the 8 rings you are looking for and keep all other users forwarding at 4 rings. Second you can point your trunk group to a Hunt Group put the phone in the hunt group and set the recall timer and set the dest to a CRA that dumps to a mail box
