You configure the IPSLA with Session Manager and a browser. You need a username and password to access the web menu of the IPSLA and that is technician level information that shouldnt be posted in this public forum. Someone else might IM it to you or you can post in the Installer's forum.

Hi,

I have the password for the web intetrface, I am not able to web into the unit, looks like the NIC may have a problem and I wanted to Telenet into it to check it further, I can connect via Hyper Terminal but I am not sure how to have the menu list so I can set it up.

Thanks

What is the problem your trying to fix? What troubleshooting steps have you taken so far and what have been the results?

Hi,

I just setup a system with 11 IP phones, I have defaulted the SLA and set my pc to the 192.168.200.205 bu 255.255.255.0 I have the passwords to access the unit. The SLA should be on 192.168.200.201 but I cannot connect via the browser, I wanted to HyperTerm into the interface in the same way you can via a com port to setup an IPRC or IPC, I can connect but cannot see any menu, I simply wanted to know the command for this option
Thanks

The IPSLA does not have terminal session access like the IPRC. You can telnet and HTTP into it. It sounds like you may need to be doing some more network troubleshooting though. How many of the IPSLAs are plugged into the network? Can you ping 192.168.200.201? What response do yo get when you ping? Is it possible that the IPSLA is not reset and has used DHCP to get an address?

Hi

The unit is not installed in the network, the unit is connected via a ac power brick and a cross connect cable, I was hoping to set the ip and subnet through hyperterminal the same way you can setup a IPC or IPRC card, I have no way to access the unit through the web browser, when you say Telenet I assume you are talking about using HyperTerminal to do the communications,
Thanks for your help

Yes, you can use Hyperterminal to telnet into it. Or just use the built in terminal software in Windows, except Vista, to connect. Do you have a link on both the NIC and IPSLA when you connect the crossover cable? Why dont you have browser access? You might try to hook the IPSLA and PC into a switch with straight through cables instead of a crossover cable.

For me I reset one which enabled DHCP.

Then if you are running windows DHCP services you can lookup what IP it took based on MAC address.

Otherwise you could hook it and your pc up to an old Home/Broadband router and Ping the IP range until you find what IP it took. That should be easy to do.

Is the "IP Status" light solid green?
