Good morning,

I have an extension that is not going to voicemail when it is called from within the office, it just rings and rings, if the call comes from outside it rings 5 times then goes to voicemail- where can i change this in the session manager?

Thanks

You can go into the station's forwarding path criteria and check IC Calls (at the bottom of list) to make intercom calls follow the forwarding path. The visual messages of DND go out the window when this box is checked, that's a big downside.

Or, you might offer instructions to the internal caller that if they want to leave a voicemail for the person they are IC-ing, they can press the MSG key on their phone and it will take them into that person's vm box after a couple of seconds. You'll want to make sure that your VM application is listed under Message Center under Associated Extension Info.

Thanks, It works and the message light comes on, but it seems to take an awful long time to go to voicemail, where can i change the number of rings it takes to go to voicemail?

Look under System / Timers and Limits / System Forward Initiate.

Intercom calls always seem to take longer to forward, due to the intercom ring cadence. However, you should set the timer based on your needs for external callers.
