I am having an issues setting up a hunt group on my intertel axxess system. I see how to set up a hunt group but implementing it is my problem. What i want it to do is ring the beginning voice prompter that says"if you know your party's extension then press it now....if not you will be transferred to the operator.." To make a long story short, i want the operator line to then point to another extension, then point back to the operator line, then leave a voicemail on another extension's mailbox.....all in a hunt group. What do i need to do to point the hunt group setup to the extensions i want, etc.? I am 25 this system is probably older than i am. hehe!! Any help woule be appreciated!!

You need to create 2 a call routing announcements (1 is an automated attendant, 1 is a dump application), a station extension list, and a hunt group in order to accomplish what you want. The trunk points to the CRA with custom recording, digit translations of transfer to collected extensions and time out to a hunt group. While you're in VP programming create a second CRA with no recording and time out to transfer to mailbox. The hunt group contains as its member, the operator ext first, an extension list second. The extension list contains both the operator extension and the other extenstion serving backup. Program the timers for how long you want the call to circulate and make the recall destination a dump application to mailbox. If you need help on this, since you are only a pup - just holler and I'll send you a private email.

Happy to provide you with the info. You will need to be logged into programming in order to make the changes necessary.
Wondering what software version your system is? Do you have Session Manager software? Is your connection made through network IP or direct cable?
Let's get those answers before I inundate you with instructions. If you have no way to connect or don't have software, that's got to get resolved first.

It took me a bit to devote some time to this post. So, here goes: Open Session Manager and working on the left, expand the Voicemail Processor, open Devices, then Applications. Put your cursor in the right window and right mouse click, and select Create Call Routing Announcement. The system will assign a number and if that number works for you, click OK. Create a 2nd CRA while you are there.
Label one app as 'Dump to MBox xxxx', the other as 'Blah blah A/A'. Each CRA has 3 sections to modify, Day Greeting, Night Greeting and Digit Translation.
For the Dump application, open both Day and Night Greetings, highlight the greeting number, right mouse click and 'Remove'. Under Digit Translation, change the last entry Time Out so that it is 'Transfer to Mailbox' and input the mailbox number under 'value'.
We'll program the A/A in a moment.
Now open up System, then Devices and Feature Codes, then Hunt Groups. Put your cursor in the right screen in a blank area and right mouse click and select 'Create Hunt Group'. It will auto select a number for you, click OK if it works for you. Type in a description and user name, then open the HG, then Members. Here you will enter the extensions in the order you want them to ring: operator ext, back up person. Next open the HG Timers and change the No Answer Advance and Recall timers. No Answer Advance determins how long each HG member's phone will ring (if available) before moving the call to the next HG member. The call will swim back and forth between members for the duration of the timer, figuring about 5-6 seconds per ring. The Recall timer determines how long a call will circulate within the HG before getting transferred into a mailbox via Dump Application. When working on the left, put your cursor onto the HG pilot number and then look at the right screen. Change the Recall Value to the CRA you created as 'Dump to MBX xxxx', and make the 'Search Type' Linear.
For the A/A application, delete both Day and Night greetings from your application and add a new custom greeting number. When you are working in the Right side of your screen put your cursor in a blank area of screen and right mouse click to 'Add to Day/Night Greeting List. Select an Audiotext recording that is blank - no description, no seconds recorded. You may want to select a different Audiotext recording for Night if you want the message to be different than when it's in Day mode.
Using the Administrator's mailbox, create your custom greetings. In programming, label your Audiotext recordings so you know what they are in the future.
On the A/A Digit Translations, you want to change the 'Action' to Transfer to Collected Extension on whatever digit your extensions start with at your office. Make the 0 and Time out Action 'Transfer to Extension' and the 'Transfer Destination' your new Hunt Group. On this A/A, you may also want to add * as Subscirber Access, if this number is going to be called by employees who want to check for voicemail messages for this new A/A or their own personal mailboxes.
Next go to your CO Trunk group or DID that you want to be answered by this new A/A, and make the 'ring-in destination' the A/A CRA number.
Whew - that was my lunch hour. Let me know if you need further assistance or clarification. Good Luck!
