I was wondering if there was a way to do a factory reset on the system and the voice mail (EVCM). I know it has an internal hard drive so removing cmos battery doesn't fix the problem. It was sold from one customer to another and we need to make administrative changes. Unfortunately the old admin is gone and we don't know the voice mail administrator password.

Can you get into the system? If so create a new mailbox and assign it as the Admin MB.

From the sounds of it you don't want to do a factory reset. That will completely wipe the database and the license out of the system. You would then have to get an authorized Inter-Tel dealer or branch to get the license for you to make the system work. Otherwise it will reset ever 4 hours without it. And you would also have to re-key the system to do what ever you want it to do. Exts, Hunt groups, Apps.....etc... It is completely blank if you reset.
If you can get into the system you can reset the password for the admin mailbox. The admin mailbox is listed under the main window for the voicemail part of the DB Programming.

I tried to log on with db software but I am asked for a password. I can not figure the old password out and don't know of a way to get around that. I thought by resetting the system I could get in, I do not want the system resetting itself every couple of hours. Any suggestions?
