I recently had to replace my work laptop to Windows 10. Since doing that, I have installed the NCP Maintenance Console on my new laptop, but either remotely or on-site, I cannot connect to the NCP-1000. I get an error that says E030103 - Invalid Password or Model Type Error.
If I dig out my old Win 7 laptop, it connects just fine, remotely or on-site.
I have my Windows Firewall disabled. I can ping the NCP-1000. I am running PBX Unified V7.8.1.1
When I am logged into the console via my old laptop, and go to Help | About, it tells me that the GUI and API versions are 6.0.1.3.
Any thoughts as to why Win 10 is failing me?

Hi Jeff, I had the same issue with a Windows 10 laptop. You need Visual Basic C++ 2005 x86 version. https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/download/details.aspx?id=3387 Even if you have a 64 bit pc you still need the x86 version for the NCP-1000. I installed this and it worked like a charm! Good luck,
Melissa

I tried installing the VB C++ 2005 x86 application on both my Windows 10 desktop and laptop and I still cannot connect to the NCP1000. Is there a specific version of the maintenance console that must be run? Or does it need to be re-installed?

Ok. I'll give that a try and see if that helps.

Normally the C++ sorts it. What error are you getting
“I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.”

I get a E030103 error: Invalid Password or Model Type Error.
If I pull out my Windows 7 laptop, connects flawlessly.

Is the could the firewall be blocking it

Even on-site when I am on the local LAN, I get the same error. That would rule out the firewall.
