Hi Everyone!

I am trying to activate the other extensions we have. Would like to know if i am doing this right? Traced how ports 1-4 and 5-8 are wired. Is there a special wiring needed? Or is it a Cat5e/6 cable? Ports 9-12, 13-16 are open.

When i look at our DB programming app, seems that extensions 409-416 are ready to go. But when i tried duplicating the process (wiring, punch block) and testing an extension. It is a no go. Is there something that I am missing? Do i need to activate or am I using the wrong cable? Any guidance is appreciated. Hopefully I explained it correctly.

Thanks!

The older cards used 4 pair jacks/plugs. Wired as follows: pins 1 and 8 are pair 4, pins 2 and 7 are pair 3, pins 3 and 6 are pair 2, and pins 4 and 5 are pair 1.

Newer cards use a weird connector - not the same as a standard amphenol. https://www.atlasphones.com/products/mitel-inter-tel-5000-3m-ddm-16-to-amp-50p-cable-813-1910

Hi Jeff! I tried the connections but no success. However, i copied the wiring guides from the former connections and it works! It took a moment, but i had a feeling that my predecessor had a few fun tricks that he left behind that makes you want to wonder.

All solved. Thank you again for your help.

Here's the current wiring
