Is there a way to register a handset to a different base unit. I don't see anything in the manual but I'll bet their is a way.

Here are the steps on how to register a new handset to a base. Unfortunately I am unable to add screen shots as to what it shows on LCD screens but it should be self explanatory.

Registration
1. Press the menu/MUTE button while idle. The LCD shows the menu list mode.
Press the - button to go to the next screen.
2. Select Register using the + or - button and press menu/MUTE.
3. The LCD shows the message below. Select No or Yes by the + or - buttons and
press menu/MUTE. If you choose No the handset goes to the menu list mode.
4. If you choose Yes, the LCD shows the message below.
5. On the base station, press the button (if your base station has two buttons, this is
the left button as you are facing the front of the base station) and hold for 3
seconds. The POWER light will blink and you have 1 minute to perform the next
step.
6. Enter the base PIN (default base PIN is 1234).
To clear the last digit, press the - button. To clear all the digits hold the - button
down for 2 seconds. After all digits are gone, press the - button. The handset goes
to the menu list mode.

7. The handset is registered to the base station after the LCD shows the message
below and goes idle.

Deregistration
1. Press the menu/MUTE button in idle mode. The LCD shows the menu list and the
handset goes to menu list mode.
2. Select Deregister by pressing the + or - button and pressing menu/MUTE.
3. The LCD shows the message below. Select No or Yes by pressing the + or - button
and pressing menu/MUTE.
4. Press the menu/MUTE button when the pointer indicates No and the handset
returns to idle.
5. The handset will be deregistered from the base station. The handset emits a
confirmation tone, shows the message below and goes to the menu list mode.
