We have an Inter-tel Axxess system that we're attempting to get Music on Hold functioning. Not sure if this is relevant but; our phone rack has three rows of cards. The top row has the CPU card and an OPC card. The CPU card is ported through fiber to another CPU card on the bottom row, which has the T1 and a few other cables going into it.

When plugging an audio source into the 3.5mm jack on the top OPC and CPU card, no music. I plugged the audio into the CPU card at the bottom with all the other cable going into it, and the phones in my office started playing music. I am fairly confident that Background music was off since I can't hear the static hum that I get when I turn it on w/ no audio source. I'm a bit leery of trying it again in case of disrupting other people on campus. Verified with one user that audio did come out of the three phones at their front desk. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Brenden

Not sure what else it could have been but the background music is active on all those phones. Each station can turn background music on/off using feature code 313. Depending on your setup, you might have to press the Special (infinity key at bottom) first, then 313. You could check a few phones and confirm whether it was on or off.
