It's going to depend on the provider....
Coming in over the Internet? Hand off from a CLEC's local router?
What release of IPO?
If over the Internet you will have some Firewall programming to do, NATting SIP traffic to the IPO but blocking anyone other than the SIP provider.
And of course some SIP licenses!

What is the oldest release of IPOffice you can get a SIP license for. Customer has 5.1

If I remember correctly, Avaya has stopped support/availabilty for license versions below 10. Might be time for an upgrade...

If it is R5.1, it may even be an old chassis. May have to upgrade to a IP500v2 chassis.
