Customer has IP office ver 8 software. System has 8 cct digital card 4 trunks, then an 8 cct tcm card (nortel phones) and two open slots. I want to add an analog station card to support analog cordless phone. would I need to shut off system, insert new card, power up and then program user/extensions? I don't think I need any sort of licensing, correct?

Basic, Essential, or Preferred mode?

Generally, yes, power down, insert a new Phone-2 or Phone-8 card, power back up.
System will see the new extensions and add them to the system automatically, it will try to number them appropriately, but you will probably need to renumber and modify the settings.
No additional licensing needed
