Scenario:

Station keys are set to(Station is DS-5021D/24C):

Key 1 - Feature = CALL | Extension 1
Key 2 - Feature = CALL | Extension 2
Key 3 - Feature = DT | Extension = 701(trunk)
Key 4 - Feature = DT | Extension 702(trunk)

The user is the receptionist. When the user picks up the handset and hits line Key 3, the trunk line is now active for that call but the line key 1 (CALL) key is still being used and is lit up green. Is there a way to have the line key 1 no longer active after the user dials into the trunk line key 3? The user does not want to have one of the internal CALL lines taken up for an outbound call. Is this possible? They have a PRI. Please let me know if I need to clarify the scenario further. Thank you in advance.

Reason you're seeing that light up is because the CALL button is used to make or receive calls. Whether it is a outside or inside call. The extensions need to have that button. Every extension needs at least one. Of course the more call buttons a extension has, the more calls it can handle at the same time.

You have to use a Call button when using a PRI. If you had analog lines, no problem.

One more question based on my above scenario and key layout:

We are wanting the receptionist to have the capability to hit one of the DT buttons to use for an outgoing call. Is there a way to configure the key to be a static button for using a specific trunk line? For example; if the user hits Key 3 - DT - 702(trunk), the user stays on that line to make the outside call.

Any help is appreciated!

You're dt programming is what you need.
Just make sure direct trunk select (DTS) is enabled on the COS for that extension

Do you know where this setting would be to enable it on a per station basis?

It is enabled on all COS(01,02,03,etc) in 4.7.2 Cost Contents but I cannot find where to enable on a specific station.

Thank you!

You need to figure out what cos the extension you want this feature is (or change it to a new cos), then enable dts, then program your dtxxx key
