Just a curiousity thing ...wondering if anyone definitively knows the answer... personal observations/speculation welcome though.... So with some "we don't want to spend a lot of money" refurb customers (which is fine by me) I've installed some TDA50's with DT343's ..and now have another one...Question/thing is....I've noticed on two installs with "NON G" versions the 343 BLUE backlit is BARELY detectable....it's like a light grey/blue.... now with the G version cabinet I have in possession I've noticed the 343's are nice and dark obvious blue.... is the intentional difference in the G and non-G as speculating or did I just have some dud phones and or ksu's before and backlits should look the same with both versions ....???

As far as I know the difference between G and non-G is just programming options. I haven't done it yet, but supposedly you can upgrade a non-G into G software

The G systems added the Caller ID module to the trunk card. The LCD contrast can be changed at the phone, program 01. Kevin
