You have not provided enough details about how it is installed and what model amp or accessories with it,what you have tried and current settings an so on.

Never had this issue before and I install only Bogen amps.

I do not recall a page port triggering on it's own, maybe check sticky page button syndrome somewhere.

I might disconnect the KSU for a day or two and see if the AMP is acting up on it's own, and/or then try a trunk port instead of page port to test for a few days.
The even try another CICS in case the page port is actually faulty.

You can also call Bogen, they have great support, maybe they have run into this or can check the settings/wiring with you etc.

that is some good ideas. if it does it again i will try disconnecting the jumper from ksu to amp first. they bought the system direct from refurb company online and so i dont want to put one of mine in if i can avoid it.

Not sure what you mean by "this time when a call came in" ???

So I will talk about the squeal.

1) When you page - what feature code are you using?
Try using just F62

2) When you page using the phone - do NOT use HandsFree.

3) When you page from a phone how close is a speaker from the phone - you are maybe getting Feedback.
Turn the speaker volume down.

If you have done all of those things and it still squeals, then bring in another CICS and test with that to eliminate the KSU.
AND turn the volume down on the Amp.
After that - good luck finding the problem.

"they wernt doing a page it just started squealing"

That is why I didn't mention the phone under the speaker issue however that combined with sticky page button syndrome?
laugh

Thanks Curlycord - I missed that part.

Well if it just started squealing - and re-reading - and when a call coming in, I wonder if he connected it to a Station port instead of the Page port.

DaveTel: which cable and which pair did you connect the page to ?
For a CICS - it should be the Trunk cable - pair 25.

this system uses the violet slate pair of the co block to connect the page line. not a co line port.

If it does it again try unplugging just the CICS, or just the amp...

YES - That is what I said. "For a CICS - it should be the Trunk cable - pair 25."

the problem doesnt happen during a page it just seems to happen when it feels like it. but for two days the jumper from ksu to page unit has been cut and page unit still plugged in and horns still tied in but no squeal. im thinking of trying a 2apa and see if it makes a differance. seller insists it isnt the ksu.
