I have newly moved into a Sysadmin position and have had an aging phone system dumped on my lap to try and limp along till a new phone system is installed.
ive got access officeserv device manager v4.98 but im having difficulty find out how to permanently delete users/EXT numbers so i can start them fresh, someone went along and just deleted info from certain areas so when i got to re-use EXT i get messages on the handset like "duplicate id" or "ext invalid." or if the handset does accept the EXT it comes up with the wrong name or the right name but no EXT number.
Does anyone no how to completely flush an EXT number to start from scratch.
Any help would be great and apologies if i havent provided enough information.
Cheers Aaron
P.s i did scour the internet for 4 hours trying to find relevant documentation but the manuals etc are really vague or removing/reseting things only explains how to create. | | | | Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 2,842 Moderator-Samsung | Moderator-Samsung Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 2,842 | Sounds like you are using ip phones. Someone has been moving extension numbers around (this is why you have names but not extensions). There are 2 sections you will need to look at to fix this. I wouldn't recommend it as you can make things worse by mocking with the dial number plan. Once this is fixed, adjusting names is easy | | | | Joined: Dec 2010 Posts: 635 Member | Member Joined: Dec 2010 Posts: 635 | Sounds like what you need to do is renumber the entire system correctly. As nameless said, it can mess up the system bad if you don't know what you're doing. | | |
