All,

I've got a user that I need to ring both a desk phone and a Cell Phone.

I've tried creating a Hunt Group, and including a Phantom as both a direct member and a Endpoint List Member (with the list being a direct memeber of the Hunt Group).

I tried both Remote Extension Programming (Feature 359) and utilizing the Online Monitor method in Database programming.

I can dial the Phantom directly, and it will ring the cell phone. But no matter what I try, the hunt group will not ring the cell phone. I've tried having the Phantom ext as the only member of the Hunt Group, and it will ring - but the cell phone never rings. It's like a Hunt Group won't ring the destination tha a extension has been fowarded to.

Is this correct? Any ideas, workarounds, etc?

Thanks!

Create an Extension List with the Endpoint and Phantom. Place the Extension List in the Members.

Hunt group members forwarded calls can never ring a determinate answer point. In other words they cannot ring a voicemail app or outside number. This is normal.

One workaround: Forward No-Answer the deskphone to the cell phone. Go to the fone, press 'infinity', 356, 'outgoing', outside fone number, 'speaker'.

Which PBX\version are we talkin' here?

Are you using an extension list? If you put the Ext and the EXT of the phantom in the HG it will ring one at a time. Put them both in an endpoint list and put that list in the HG.
If it's a 5000 I would upgrade to 3.2 and have twinning a solution that will allow the user to turn on and off with the touch of a button. I understand Mitel is offering a special deal this quarter on the upgrade, I've been installing them like crazy been great for our company
