I see in 24-09 that it allows you to put in 9+ and the number, but it seems to me you have to set up a vitual to accomplish cf external, right?
Thanks in advance.

The same problem as Yoda has. I have 3 pots lines I'm trying to forward. Have tried with and without using a virtual. Can't get it to work

Doesn't have to be a virtual to forward calls off site.

I have trk to trk transfer set up, off-premise ok, just rings the phones in the office without forwarding. I have it set up in 24-09 as forward all. I'm missing something somewhere. I've done this before, but it's been about 8 years ago!

Hi westerntelep. What everybody said in my thread about forwarding on the 2100. Check all those settings to be sure. I also have some 9100 customers, but they aren't forwarding anything at this time. But the 2100 has the same program numbers as the 9100, as far as standard things like call forwarding, etc., and I would think the 8100 would also.
I ended up using a virtual, even though it's not required for forwarding off site. The thing that apparently got me on this, was that I needed a 9 + number in 24-09. Even though this customer has 15-01-02 set for auto trunk seizure. So, in my case at least, auto trunk seizure is on, and 9 + number in the CF number.

Confirm the extensions both physical and or virtual are allowed in class of service If on site do you see the system access the 2nd trunk when testing? Are you able to make conference calls? Make sure in 24-09 fields 2-5 are populated with the number.
I don't remember if this was regarding only PRI's or PRI's and POTS. It was recommended the call forward in 24-09 be set to no answer and the extension or extensions be put into their own timer class and set the no answer timer to 1 second. I don't recall if this was a earlier software issue.

I have those set. Only thing different is I set call forward to rna, then changed the 24-02 timer to 1 sec. 24-09 is set 9+.
Still no. Thanks.

Have you programmed a call forward button on the phone then set call forward using the button? Is it lit up red? So when you call the extension directly it doesn't forward? I'd upgrade their software to the latest and retest. You could be chasing a bug, although I've never had that issue.

This was installed in 2018, so fairly new. It is a remote site, so downloading and uploading long distance. Tried the forward button to no avail. I think the switch is confused. I'm trying to get the owner to re-boot. I'll check back after that. Thanks!
