Customer wants a video door system with two monitors and door release. I want something easy to install as the monitors are on separate floors and not very close to door speaker.

What's the budget like?
Aiphones are very nice and the majority of their systems have a handset, but if they want handsfree only look at 2N from Axis.
Whatever you do, stay away from the Dahua or Hikvision systems and their OEMs. They are nothing but trouble.

Thanks for the tips. No budget customer wants something good that will last a while. No handsfree needed as they would need to go to monitor to view and open door anyways.
I like the Aiphone JO series Where is a good place to purchase from ?

I like the Aiphone JO series Where is a good place to purchase from ? When I was referring to hands-free I meant they didn't need to pick up a handset to talk. You can get Aiphone from ADI , Graybar, and several other locations https://www.aiphone.com/home/sales/where-to-buy-aiphone

I second the Aiphone JO series. I've only installed them once, but man, they are so easy. I'm not sure about the pricing since our customer furnished it, but I can't think of anything better for the application.

The JO series also has an upgrade that lets you do 2 doors, and a different upgrade that will let you use an app on a cell phone if you have wifi where the JO series is installed.

The only thing I don't like about several of Aiphone's systems is that they don't use network cabling and the JO series is one of them.
A quick look at ADI pricing shows the basic system you are looking for cost about,
Basic kit with monitor and plastic door station - $463.99 Expansion monitor - $320.99 Relay release - $25.99 2-door adapter - $88.99 Video Door station - $260.99
Plus you need 2-Cond and 4-Cond cabling, electric strikes, and misc hardware.

I installed an Aiphone IX unit that only required a POE cable between the base and outdoor camera. The base even provided the POE power and the outdoor unit had relay contacts on screw terminals to interface directly with the door strike. The thing that I like about the JO series is that you can re-use regular 18/2 doorbell wire for a fully-functional video camera at the door. In fact, it really won't work well on any other kind of wire. That's pretty impressive to me.
