Hi All,
i just migrated the cards from a 7200S over to a 7400, they have a 8 port Trunk card, the Caller ID worked on the 7200S but now I'm getting no Caller ID displayed I've Check 4xx, 119 and 3xx, I check the Caller ID coming from the LEC, I've rebooted, any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mark

You need to purchase and install a RCM or RCM2 daughter board onto the LP40 card to get PSTN Caller ID.
This is the same card from the iDCS500/iDCS500 R2.
The difference between RCM and RCM2 is the RCM2 provides CID to SLT as well as DGP/IP, the RCM only does DGP/IP.

The OS7200 MCP and MP20 also have this same requirement. It was built into the other OS7000 systems.

There may have been a newer model trk card which had this builtin like the SLI3 cards, but i don't remember, never did much PSTN on the larger systems.

Thanks for the quick reply

The package came with an IRM, I installed that in slot 1 of the LCP and then moved it to slot 2 with no change, do I still need a RCM? I moved the 8Trk2 over from the 7200s

I don't know much about the irm, i don't think we ever got them here.

What i do recall is that is a combination of the rcm2 and mfm cards. I believe you need to configure what functions you want the irm card to-do. Mich like the oas card with mgi channels.

Thanks,

I'm going to call Tech support here shortly and see about the IRM but I ordered a RCM2 last night online

Thanks again
