I have a new customer moving into an office that has a Strata 16e system that has been there forever. No one has used this building for a few years so I am not even sure if the system still works. When I asked him about phones, he brought in two new Toshiba DP5130 phones and said this is what the home office tech guy gave him. We have a lot of Toshiba systems still in use but have not installed any for several years. I am not familiar with this phone model, let alone what systems it will work with. Can anyone tell me if this phone will even work with the 16e system? Any responses please email to: [email protected]. Thanks for any and all input.

I believe the DP5130 phone was designed to operate on the Toshiba CIX series of phone systems. Therefore not compatible. On this page is a link to some user guides for the DK series (about 3/4 the way down the page) http://pdf.textfiles.com/manuals/TELECOM-S-Z/For the Strata 16e I believe the only phones that will work are: DKT2010-H 10-Btn DKT2010-SD 10-Btn Speaker with Display DKT2020-S 20-Btn Speaker DKT2020-SD 20-Btn Display with Display DKT2020-FDSP 20-Btn Display with Display and external jack for a mic.

You can also use the 3000 and 3200 series 10 and 20 button phones with the DK16e which is what I recommend over the 2000 series. The DP5022 and 5032 are also compatible but you can't fully utilize the entire display and all of the buttons. The DP5130 is not going to work correctly for him though on a DK16e.

Thanks you for the input. Didn't think they would work together but thought I would ask to make sure.
