Example: how many customers can call a number with a automatic voicemail and still hear the message? I think SVMi 8 is limited to 4 at a time? | | | | Joined: Nov 2012 Posts: 41 Likes: 1 Member | Member Joined: Nov 2012 Posts: 41 Likes: 1 | I thought it was down to the expansion boards, if none are fitted it was a 4 port card if I remember, you added 4 or 8 port expansions to give more capacity for simultaneous calls. | | | | Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 2,921 Moderator-Samsung | Moderator-Samsung Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 2,921 | Out of the box the svmi16e had 8 ports, so 8 simultaneous calls. You can put the 4 port daughter boards to take it to 12 or 16 ports.
The svmi8 is the same except it's 4 ports upgradable to 8 | | | | Joined: Mar 2012 Posts: 140 Member | OP Member Joined: Mar 2012 Posts: 140 | So the maximum amount of simultaneous calls possible with the SVMI 16E card would be 16 with the expansion board. Can an OS500 have more than one SVMI 16E card? | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 2,264 Likes: 3 Moderator-Executone-Isoetec, Samsung | Moderator-Executone-Isoetec, Samsung Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 2,264 Likes: 3 | | | | | Joined: Mar 2012 Posts: 140 Member | OP Member Joined: Mar 2012 Posts: 140 | Ok thanks for the info., so OS500 can at most have 16 simultaneous SVMI calls. | | | | Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 2,921 Moderator-Samsung | Moderator-Samsung Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 2,921 | If you want anymore you'll have to go down the path of a 3rd party vm which connects via sli ports.
I don't know if any are still made though. | | | | Joined: Dec 2010 Posts: 673 Member | Member Joined: Dec 2010 Posts: 673 | FYI the 3rd party VM solution wouldn't be cost effective by the time you buy the cards and everything else.
