CIX 100 w/ EIS-32 VM. The messages and greetings were changed for COVID19. i am trying to set up the menu buttons in the instructional greeting (990) and it doesn't want to work. When you press a button it says "let me try that ext." and then silence. What am i overlooking? Thanks Lyle

If you have the one-touch option set to transfer to an extension, it must have a mailbox created for it. For example, if you have it set to transfer to extension 201, then you must have a mailbox 201 and in the extension field of that mailbox you should have 201 or 201H.

In the VM and CIX-100 the mailboxes are created. I have set in the VM mailbox 990 menu to transfer to the mailbox #. It says "let me try that ext." then it goes silent. It never makes the transfer. It times out and goes to the operator ext.

What happens when you dial the mailbox number from the auto attendant mailbox 990?

My menu selection is in mailbox 990. I first plays the main greeting and then the instructional greeting, both in mailbox 990. The instructional greeting tells them what button to push in the menu. That is when it says "let me try that ext." and it never gets there.

When I dial an ext. I am trying get, I get same thing I get by pressing a menu button. If i dial 411 for the directory it goes there. If I dial the VM it tells me that it is an invalid ext.

have you checked that you have the corresponding mailbox for the extension you are trying to call at the instructional greeting?
You never dial the actual extension handset from the instructional greeting but you are dialing the mailbox and based on how the mailbox is configured eg DND on or off it allows the call to be transferred to the extension number in the extension field of the mailbox.

Check the Group Names under the Chains/Groups/Fax tab of mailbox 990 and make sure it matches that of all the other mailboxes.
