I have a version 11.010 Axxess system with several IPRCs. I'm wondering what the PAL is used for on a 550.2265/2266 card. My current IPRCs state: Maximum Allowed Channels (PAL): 0. Does that mean I don't have PALs on my current cards? (They work just fine for phones and networking)
I just need to connect 8662 and similar IP phones to a new card (no networking ports required). Also - is the 550.9030 enhanced card a lot better for IP phones? We seem to have both types of cards in our system and haven't noticed a difference. Thanks

Ver 8 and above does not use Pal chips. They use licensing. If you have ver 8 or higher sw loaded onto an IPRC card and PAL chip is ignored.
To connect 8662s to the IPRC you need the proper licensing for IP DEVICES - not the same as networking, although on ver 11 you can share networking and IP devices/phones on the same card.

Thanks for the information. I have available class A and B licenses so I'm all set.
