Our reception desk is requesting to make their phone ring longer then the rest. To do this I need to add a Forwarding Path under their station correct? I'm not even sure where to point the forwarding path even if I am on the right path with this approach. If anyone knows how I can configure their extension to ring longer then the system time please let me know! Thanks!!

Create a new forward path. Make the reception desk extension the first forward point, and voice mail the second forward point. The station will "forward" to itself, then voice mail.
The System Forward Initiate timer controls how long the station rings before forwarding to the first forward point. The System Forward Advance timer controls forward points 2 through 4.

I've done that... it doesn't seem to ever transfer to voicemail. The system time is set to 15 seconds. I have created a forwarding path under forwarding path 2 to transfer back to 3200 (reception) then to voicemail (2601) but it never seems to get transferred to voicemail.

Are the reception calls ringing directly to the extension or do they ring to a hunt group that the reception phone is a member of?

They are ringing directly to the extension. Reception isn't part of any hunt group.

Hmmm... let's see.
You assigned the new forward path to the extension and removed the original one. The System Forward Initiate and System Forward Advance timers are both set for 15 seconds.
Did calls forward to voice mail originally? Do the forward conditions on the new forward path match the original? How do calls get to reception: DID, auto attendant, direct CO ring-in?
Lots of questions, but we'll figure this out.

Yes they forwarded to voice mail orginally. I found a setting that was different. Fwd Call Type - IC Calls was set to "NO" ... I was calling from an internal phone so with this setting set to NO would that mean I wouldn't get forwarded?
I think calls get to reception by auto attendant but how can I make sure?
Thanks for your help!

I think the Fwd Call Type - IC Calls setting did it... I just called and it took about 30 seconds to transfer to VM. Thanks a lot for your help.

That's good news. I would also test calls from the outside, just to make sure. There are different timers that could come into play.
