We are trying to change our OfficeServ PBX from Bri to Sip-Trunk.
The Provider we are using dos not give us the option to register. What I mean is the connection should work in the other direction:
So not OfficeServe is connecting/registering to the Provider but the Provider wants to register the Trunk in Officeserv.
Thes use hardware that is installed localy that is connecting to Officeserv.
My qustion is, how does this work. What setting i have so put in under 5.2.13 (SIP Carried Oprions) so that not OfficeServe is registering as the Provider but the Provider registers at Officeserv.
For me this sound very particolar but the Provider has only this option and they say they are doing this with several PBX.
We I mean "Register" actualy the provider has both options: with registration and whitout.
Does anyone have an idea if this works with officeserv and what settings i have to put in.
Thank you
Jonas

I believe what you are after is sip peering.
Fill out the registration server and outbound proxy server fields like normal. Then turn on options and set it to say 30seconds. As long as you have a recent firmware version that should be all you need to-do.

we are using firmware 5.01
What do you mean by registration server? "Registra Address"?
What options i have to turn in and set to 30 seconds?
Is the OfficeServe then listening on Port 5060?
Thank you
Jonas

under 5.2.13 there are many options, and many timer...
i also see in the officeserv manual, that "username", "authusername" and "autpassword" MUST be set. but hey are always related to officeserv connecting to a provider and not to a provider connecting to officeserv.
Please help me i realy dont understand what you mean
thank you

In your manual do you have a section about peering? I don't have the sip trunk guide handy or a screen shot of the dm programming to send

not realy to be honest. but to understand, is sip peering done also with 5.2.13 (Sip carrier options)?
If officeserv is listening on port 5060 would there not be a conflikt with normal sip phones connection to officeserv? Or do I think wrong?
