A customer of mine has a toll free number. Aside from sifting through the billing (which seems the right approach) we /they do not know who the provider is. The number rings into an IVR hosted someplace. Is there website where I can lookup who serves a toll free number? I am unable to find anything useful thus far.

The LEC might be able to query for the Resporg. Digging out a bill would still be the best way to check.

He must write a check to someone for the service. All he has to do is check his bills or checkbook. It's not rocket science

They think it's on a credit card but not sure where. Disorganized customer/management. The resporg lookup says Bandwidth.com which I believe is a giant ip telco and could be resold to any number of companies.

The reseller would be the provider. Bandwidth might reveal which company is acting as the true resporg, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
