An installer friend of mine told me that the DSS 60 console will not work with a DT920 IP phone on a SV9100. He says I have to use a DT430 style phone with the console.
Anyone have any experience trying the DSS 60 with the DT920?

Oh, I see it now. The 920 is IP. The 430 is Digital. The console is digital, so must have to be with a digital phone.

The DSS will work with an IP phone You will need to see which IP phone will. There is a cable that comes with the DSS consoles that plugs into the IP phone. That DSS console then needs local power. Plug the IP phone back in and the system should identify it.

Support told me that some DT920 phones work with the DSS and some do not. There is a chart in the hardware manual. For example, the DT920 ITK-8LCX will not work. The ITK-8TCXG will work with the DSS 60.
BTW, Paul - I have an old SL1100 connected to a couple other 1100's thru a vpn. Not Netlink, but the DSS at the main site indicates status of the extensions on the console. All phones are digital on these systems.
